TGIF!
Friday is the best day of the week. Anticipating the weekend, the long sleepover on Saturday (most looked forward to!)... For many months now, Fridays have been more exciting because we always make a short excursion over the weekend. The little one loves going for the drive in the car, isn't really bothered that the trip always messes with her schedule. I love travelling too! I love the drive most of all... Because I can get dad to listen to my nonstop chatter with nothing else to distract him all the while listening to music, doing karaoke with the song, teasing each other or some one driving past, watching out police cars or another Pontiac G6 on the road, eating out, taking pictures... We have such a good time. Don't wonder that I missed writing out dad's favorite part of the trips. He loves it when we are excited and having a good time. Dad and I share the same loves! ;)
In school, my brother and I were very happy on Friday evenings. We never did homework on Friday and didn't think about it till Sunday night 7pm. We used to play the whole of Saturday with all the kids in the neighbourhood. We played housie, hide-and-go-seek, kabaddi, learnt to ride cycles, had cycle races, made kites, flew them... We were always upto some mischief, climbing up drain pipes, running on walls around the house, playing with the Jugi boy(my beloved doggy). Sometimes, we would drive down to our cousin's house and we would spend the weekend together. Such memorable times just playing monopoly and cards.
As we went to college, we worked Saturdays too! Fridays were spent studying for the tests to be held the next day. Saturday afternoons were more looked forward to! For the siesta or the outing to a friend's house to 'study' meaning 'chit-chat'!!
I still don't know what dad dear has planned for this weekend. But, the little one and I are waiting eagerly for him to come home and tell us his plans...
