Happy Thanksgiving!

Our first thanksgiving experience was simply awesome, I should say! We were invited to a friend's house to celebrate with their family. We offered to bring some 'Indian' food to the dinner. Dad and I decided to take samosas, chicken biriyani and chicken curry. But, the food there was so overwhelming. It was the real deal - turkey (there was two, so that everyone will have their favorite part of the turkey!), cranberry sauce, gravy, mashed potatoes, roast potatoes, stuffing, creamed spinach, veggies (green beans, asparagus, broccoli) and so many kinds of buns and bread (pumpkin, herb and ginger!!). Mmmm... The meal started with appetisers of oven-roasted chestnuts and samosas with ketchup. Then, we moved to turkey with gravy and all the sides. We ate so much! And finally, dessert was pumpkin pie and cheesecake! We sat around the table and talked and shared our stories. The little one also sat on my lap and was enjoying the food! She seemed to love the turkey eating it with a fork and spoon!! She also humored everyone making funny noises every now and then, showing how excited she was! We had a wonderful time and came home with loads of food and wonderful memories!
Oh! Our 'Indian' food was a success too! The empty dishes I brought back home say the whole story. They simply loved it!!
